Dear Central Church,

We are one month away from dedicating our newly remodeled sanctuary! On November 19th we’re going to have a dedication service at 10:30am to celebrate all that God has done through this project and to look forward to all he wants to do through us in the future.
 
Yesterday, one of the features of the new space was installed: a beautiful cross that hangs in the center of the sanctuary. As I received pictures of this being put into place, I was reminded of this passage from 1 Corinthians:
 
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. (1 Cor. 2:2)

The only reason we would make investments like this to remodel our sanctuary is to more clearly and more fully proclaim Jesus Christ and him crucified! This is the “good news,” and this is why we exist as a church. There are lots of new things about our worship space, but the most prominent feature is the cross. All of the new aesthetics, lighting, technology, and sound are designed to point to the cross! It will be a constant reminder of the hope that we have in Jesus: only he can take an instrument of death and chaos and transform it into an instrument of life and peace.
 
Thank you for continuing to give to the “Our Turn Now” campaign. God is using your support of this giving initiative to make this project possible. To the glory of God, our project will be completed under budget and on time…praise the Lord!
 
This Sunday, Pastor Bethany will be preaching as we continue the Soul Shift series. Bethany is one of our youth pastors and leads our discipleship and Life Group ministries. She is a gifted and passionate communicator. You will not want to miss what God has put on her heart.
