YOUTH MINISTRY
Jesus is the Good News for the world. Our calling as a youth ministry at Central is to help students and their families get to know who Jesus is and to grow in that relationship. We then join together, regardless of our differences, in following Jesus as we engage our world.
Central Middle School Ministry exists for students to learn what it means to participate in the Kingdom of God. Together, we are learning about the nature and character of God and how our lives can be transformed in light of this. We focus on who God is and who we are becoming because of what God is doing in our lives. We have hope that the same God who is redeeming all things is redeeming each of us, our community, and our world. We gather together each week to be reminded of that, to be in faithful community with one another, and to be sent into the world with a renewed spirit. In middle school ministry we love to play, laugh, learn, and be together. We would LOVE for you to join us!
Sunday Morning
Life Group
Middle School ministry Life groups meet from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM in the Upper West Commons. We gather together to be in an intentional community with one another, and to learn God’s Word.
Wednesday Evening
Youth Group
We meet for Youth Group each Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Wednesday nights are our most important rhythm as a youth ministry. It is an opportunity for students to come together as a community, united in worship, play, prayer, music, teaching time, and small group discussion. We begin our time together with fellowship, announcements, and worship. We then head into the fellowship hall where we read Scripture, listen to a sermon, and have reflection time together. Students then break up into small groups to discuss what they learned, and to grow in their relationships with one another. These small groups are led by our incredible small group leaders. Our Wednesday night time together is centered around gathering, listening, responding, and being sent!
Central High School Ministry exists for students in grades 9-12 to walk together as a community striving to become more like Jesus. We want to know and experience who God is, and then lived transformed lives in response. Each week Pastor David gives this reminder to whoever is present, you are a beloved child of God, you belong in this family, your life has a good purpose, and don’t forget that you are loved.
Sunday Morning
High School Life Groups
Every Sunday from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM our 9th-12th graders gather in the Upper West Commons to learn from Scripture, Christian thought leaders, and each other. The format is typically discussion-based as we dive into either a book of the Bible, discipleship book, cultural analysis, or a topical series.
Wednesday Evening
Youth Group
We meet for Youth Group each Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Wednesday nights are our most important rhythm as a youth ministry. It is the opportunity for students to come together as a community, united in worship, play, prayer, music, teaching time, and small group discussion. We begin our meeting time in the Student Center with the Middle School group for both announcements and worship through music together. Then, we have the rest of the time as just the high school group for a message, games, and discussion groups. You are invited to join us as we grow to becoming more like a family as we experience who Jesus is and how he’s at work in our lives.
Youth events are a significant part of our ministry. We strive to always ensure our events are both purposeful and fun. We need time spent together to learn to love and grow with each other.
We have amazing events that we participate in as middle school, high school, our combined youth ministry, the KC Naz district, and with our denomination. The best way to stay up to date with our events is to subscribe to our weekly email or to check out our Instagram and Facebook pages using the above buttons.
Awesome big events you don’t want to miss include summer camp, retreats, and mission trips. These events may cost extra, but we believe they change lives! Also, we have generous donors who want to make sure no student misses out on an event due to finances. Click here for a link to our scholarship form.
