Dear Central Church,
I think you know this already, but in case you’ve forgotten: Central Church values our youngest disciples! We have a long history of making significant investments in kiLast week I shared the details with you of our Children’s ministry remodel. It’s a bold plan, but it’s consistent with the investments Central has made in our youngest disciples through the years. In case you didn’t see it, here’s a recap of that vision:
The Elementary Kids’ Ministry space on the second level of the church will be totally remodeled! It will look like a brand new space. This vision includes:
Cafe/gathering area
Updated check-in area in the upper atrium
Expanded audio visual capabilities with new sound booth
Reimagined stage for teaching and worship
Refresh of 6 classrooms
The total cost of this remodel is $175,000. Because of your faithful and generous support, we have $125,000 set aside in this year’s budget for this project. For this to be fully funded, we need $50,000 between now and Thanksgiving! I know God is able to do this as we come together to make investments in our kids.
Would you pray with me over the next few weeks about giving over and above your regular support for Kids Ministry at Central? I’ll share about this in the Sunday morning worship service this Sunday and on September 8. On Sunday, September 15, we’ll have a chance to commit together to support this vision.
I’d like to see everyone do something to participate in this project. Here’s a little breakdown of how everyone can get involved:
20 Families give $1,000 to fund the Cafe space.
40 Families give $500 to fund the Audio Visual upgrades
24 Families give $250 to refresh a classroom.
40 Families give $100 for furnishings and new ministry supplies.
There’s an opportunity for everyone to be involved! Let’s join to together in prayer and ask God to move in such a way that we have what we need to do this for our kids.
Have a great holiday weekend, and I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we begin a new sermon series on the wisdom literature of the OT (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes). It’s entitled, “Season: Timeless Wisdom for Life’s Biggest Changes.”
Until He’s Finished,
Pastor Mark
